Domenico Clerico Dolcetto Langhe Visadi $17
A darker, more powerfully styled example of dolcetto, Clerico is another modern producer who has pushed the grape beyond what was typical a few decades ago, producing fairly deep and complex wines that are rich in black fruit and moderately structured. Even then it remains Dolcetto and has a very friendly, slightly fleshy appeal. This is a bit racier than Sandrones version and would work well with a Thanksgiving dinner that might have a bit of spice involved, perhaps one with a south western, accent to it.

I'm new to drinking wine especially reds. Do your reviews of both Dolcettos pertain only to the specific vintages on these, Sandrone 2008 and Clerico 2009? When I click on Find this wine, they have the newer vintages.
