Italian Sparkling Citrus Punch

Sunny days ahead with this bright zingy cocktail

Continuing on our theme of light and fresh spring cocktails, we bring you a fun Italian-style punch sure to bring some brightness to the longer days.

This dangerously quaffable champagne cocktail, courtesy of Drink of the Week, utilizes the sweeter Meyer lemon to give the drink a more subtle tang. Vodka adds some heft and the limoncello gives it its sunny disposition. Throw in a functional ice block to keep chilled and you have yourself springtime in a bowl!

To continue our celebration of Spring and our new book, here's a fun recipe from DIY Cocktails! This punch is like a big champagne cocktail for you and all your friends. The crisp lemon flavor and effervescence are the perfect way to keep celebrating Spring!

I like to use Meyer lemons, which are a little sweeter than your typical lemon. For those who prefer less alcohol, you can reduce the amount of vodka or skip it altogether.

Italian Sparkling Citrus Punch

1 cup vodka
1 1/2 cups simple syrup
1 1/2 cups limoncello
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 750 ml bottle of Prosecco

Stir all ingredients except the Prosecco together in a glass punch bowl. Cover and refrigerate for two hours. Add the Prosecco and an ice block just before serving.

Enjoy this sneak preview from our book! And then... head over to Amazon and order yourself a copy! In addition to the great cocktail advice and recipes, it's filled with the beautiful photography of Jackson Stakeman.
