Dan Aykroyd
You have to start with big Dan. He has the highest profile of any of these operations and is building a beverage empire. Not only does Dan have an interest in Crystal Head Vodka, but he also has been making wine in collaboration with DeLoach Vineyards and bottling it under the Dan Aykroyd Discovery Series label.
But it gets better. Dan also bottles Canadian wine under his eponymous label. Dan can supply all your vinous needs from Cabernet and Chardonnay, to Riesling and Pinot Noir. This funnyman’s wines are no laughing matter!

James Judd and Son (also Cellar Full of Noise) in Paso Robles should be included in your funnymen of wine article. The father is a former ventriloquist and the son is a comedian with a very successful one-man show, "7 Sins".

While not the winemaker, Jeff Dunham collaborates with Dunham winery in Walla Walla for a series of wines based on his characters, and he should be included in this list.

"Wine is no joking matter" - certainly NOT the philosophy of the Sediment blog - perhaps the funniest writing about wine on the web. Or perhaps not. Try http://tinyurl.com/3xyv95w

20 Bees on the Niagara Peninsula is one of my faves and produces Dan's ice wines, Rieslings and other whites.
