For 23 years Bruce and Pam Boring, proprietors of The California Wine Club, have explored California’s less-traveled roads seeking the hidden gems of wine country. Their search is unique, in that they are only looking for the limited production, award-winning wines handcrafted by California’s small family wineries.
They taste, select and then share their very best discoveries along with the personal stories behind each and every wine. Savvy wine consumers trust them to introduce these artisan vintners, the fine wines they craft and the rich histories that only few ever know.
Receive two of Bruce and Pam’s personally selected wines delivered to your doorstep, along with their members-only publication.

With The California Wine Club you’ll discover artisan wineries like these:
Truchard Vineyards, Carneros, Napa Valley
Tony and JoAnn Truchard helped pioneer the Carneros region of Napa Valley, widely considered to be one of the best appellations in the world. Although they produce only 15,000 cases per year, their personal dedication to detail and quality have led their handcrafted wines to receive 90+ points from top critics regularly. “Even during winter rains, Tony goes out to watch the reservoirs and make sure no drains are plugged. There aren’t many winery owners who can match this kind of personal viticulture.” –JoAnn Truchard, proprietor
Robledo Family Winery, Sonoma Valley
Reynaldo Robledo came to vineyards of California from Michoacán, Mexico as a vineyard worker. Years of hard work and determination led to the fulfillment of his American dream of founding a boutique winery with his children. His motto: “if we work hard together, the family will stay together.” Although they only handcraft 13,000 cases a year, their delicious wines are critic’s favorites and have even been served at the White House.
Daniel Gehrs Winery, Santa Barbara
Throughout his long and highly acclaimed career in winemaking, Daniel Gehrs has contributed greatly to the course of California wine, from handcrafting a 1985 Chardonnay that became the most awarded wine in California’s history and producing Zaca Mesa’s renowned 1993 Syrah which was Wine Spectator’s #6 wine in the world in 1996, to championing the quality of Santa Barbara County wines. He now produces a limited quantity of his favorite wines under his namesake label.
