At this year’s festival – taking place Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 12pm to 5pm at Lodi Lake Park – the ZinFest Wine School will be headlined by two incredible instant-wine-lessons given by none other than the Grape Goddess® herself: Catherine Fallis, a Bay Area MS (Master Sommelier).
It’s not easy to be a Master Sommelier. In fact, the blind tastings and examinations to become one are so rigorous that only 129 Americans have earned this title since 1973. Out of those 129, only 18 of them have been women. Ms. Fallis is also the only person (male or female) to have earned both an MS from the Court of Master Sommeliers and an Advanced Certified Wine Professional™ (ACWP) from the Culinary Institute of America.
This year’s ZinFest Wine School begins at 1pm under its own tent, located lakeside next to the gargantuan willow trees. Ms. Fallis will be joined by two other brilliant women wine professionals and, we promise, these ladies will make Lodi wine come alive for you!
