Some nice nougat notes on the nose are joined by citron, lime pith and light candied cherry aromas. Rather soft in the mouth, with an airy, delicate feel. This delivers rather simple apple, lime pith and yeasty flavors with a modest finish. 86pts

    For those of us who do not live in NYC, how about rating the Moet & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, Mumms Mouton Rouge and a few other personal favorites? In reading your column, I did not find some of my common choices even mentioned. I like to learn, but if you don't give me a solid reference frame, I am disappointed. I'm fine with your Bollinger, Taittinger, Laurent Perrier ratings. Perhaps, I expect too much and these are enough for a good comparison. Happy New Year.
