Terroir

Mendoza has a distinctly continental climate, and poor soils that force the vines to struggle a bit. That struggle creates elegant and balanced wines that clearly display their origins. Achaval-Ferrer is fortunate to have access to three unique old-vine vineyards, each with a distinct personality due to their differing soil types and altitudes. All three wines are produced using identical techniques so they serve as a great way to learn how Malbec is affected by its terroir.
