We loved Lot 129
Cameron Hughes was in our office recently, sharing wine and witty banter about these great wines, the state of the wine business and where Cameron Hughes Wine is headed. Lot 129 Campo de Borja GarnachaThis really fills the glass with spicy, vanilla-laced notes of herbs, dirt, and bright fruit. It’s a touch simple, but it's so exuberant, who cares? The entry on the palate is light and fresh, with surprising focus and lovely crisp tannins. The wildberry, blueberry, and red currant fruit is driven to a long, slightly earthy, tobacco-tinged finish by that refreshing acidity. Really great balance, delicious and fun to drink.
Lot 147 Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon
Big and bold with sweet pipe tobacco, cut grass, brushfire, brambly blackberry, and soil tones. Opulent, nicely-integrated acids and lots of soft tannins, there’s an edge of mint right up front, the mid-palate is soft, with nice, herb-tinged, eucalyptus-tinged black cherry fruits. A sweet, fruity tone, red-fruited, on the shortish finish, which has a touch of wood poking up through the fruit.

It turned out to be very, very popular! If you call Cameron Hughes Wines, they will extend the same discount on Lot 93 or Lot 169.
