Are you looking for great wines, not only to enjoy, but also to learn about and share?  Well, The California Wine Club is the solution! Founded with a mission to bring their members only award-winning, limited production wines from California’s best “mom & pop” wineries, The California Wine Club has been sharing their discoveries for 20 years.

Since its inception, The California Wine Club has featured almost 2000 different wineries, introducing each one with an in-depth article in the club's magazine: Uncorked ®. With each shipment of wine, Uncorked supplies entertaining insights into the winery’s origins, features winemaker interviews, as well as recipes and wine pairing tips from the winery! What could be better?

Well, the wines, of course. This month, The California Wine Club is featuring one of my favorite Sonoma wineries: Pedroncelli. For more than 80 years, the Pedroncelli name has been synonymous with quality. These are wines that carry on a long family tradition of making expressive wines that work perfectly at the table and show all that Sonoma has to offer.

This is a great package to get started with The California Wine Club. This shipment, like all of their monthly shipments, is only $35.95 plus s&h. That includes one bottle each of Pedroncelli’s award winning Zinfandel and Pinot Noir as well as this month’s edition of Uncorked. There is no membership fee, nothing to join, and no obligation to continue receiving shipments. In fact, each wine is 100% guaranteed, and when you’re ready to reorder a wine, you can find your favorites at up to 50% off retail.

So give The California Wine Club a try, a world of hand selected, award-winning wines awaits you. And remember, it makes a great gift. There is even a special offer for Snooth readers:  Try this shipment and you’ll receive three bottles for the price of two.  In addition to the two delicious Pedroncelli reds, you’ll also receive a bottle of Tulip Hill’s 2008 award-winning Chardonnay as a gift for you.

Meet The Founders

Bruce and Pam Boring founded The California Wine Club in 1990 out of frustration—they had trouble finding great bottles of wines from amongst the sea of pretty labels, but were usually very happy with wines recommended by friends. The club is based on the idea of friends recommending good wine to friends. Bruce and Pam select (and taste) every wine they feature. If they would not proudly serve it to guests in their home, they do not send it to members.
