Malaga Wine & Tapas Bar
In addition to great wine, this restaurant has a great sangria. It can be a bit pricey, but makes for a lovely setting for a birthday celebration with friends. It’s lively and bustling with people surrounding the long bar. Executive Chef Alejandro Duran, a guest instructor at stores such as Whole Foods and Williams-Sonoma, specially chooses the wine list.
The menu changes by the season but always delivers fine tasting food. Since it is served tapas-style, expect to choose two to three plates per person to be sufficiently full.

Missed the Red Room...and based on those listed, also should have included The Driskill Bar and Trio @ The Four Seasons.

Vino Vino is great. You also missed The Red Room. It's brand new and above and beyond all the rest. It's worth visiting while in Austin and Snooth should definitely check it out.

The Water2Wine location in Round Rock, Texas is my favorite. Great staff!!

Why would you include a faux wine place?? Lake Travis Wine Trader easily surpasses all of the list in quality of the wine poured. Since I am a customer I believe the level of comraderie is its distinction. Very cost effective for the quality of wine tasting classes.

Thanks for your great suggestions. I will try these and likely incorporate some of them into my future articles. Obviously I couldn't include everyone, but I tried to get a variety of places for all types. Take care! Tiffany
