Jammy black berry fruits and a little forest floor greet the nose followed by hints of peppery beef jerky and dried cranberries. Polished in the mouth, this lacks a bit of oomph when it comes to the nice if subtle array of wild berry and slightly balsamic flavors. The acid is well covered and the tannins sufficiently sweet and supporting the moderately long slightly jammy black fruits fruit on the finish. Well behaved but not terribly distinct. 86pts
A bit buttery and a bit acetic on the nose with aromas that are slightly earthy and flat. This is simple and fresh in the mouth with a delicate texture that is lean and very pretty. A simple wine that delivers attractive black berry inflected cherry fruit with juicy acids and taut little tannins with a modest finish. This could take a bit of a chill and is very attractive for its simplicity. 85pts
Rather animale and wildly herbal on the nose which shows the gamier more herbal nature of the grape. A bit lean on the palate with the fruit obviously fading. This relies on its acid today with the tannins also having softened and while there are attractive wild berry, berry black, black currant and aromatic herb notes on the backend, this comes of as a bit lean and ungenerous in the mouth.  easy to drink but seemingly past peak, this does grow on me as I taste it but still seems lackluster. 82pts
Showing its age with notes of dried herbs and coffee grinds on the nose, lots of coffee in fact.  Smooth, soft and at first easy going, this perks up a bit on the palate with some blue and raspberry flavors adding a bit of interest in the mouth. The acidity is a touch soft, and the tannins a bit soft but this has some fruit and savory notes on the palate though it drops off on the tiny finish. 82pts
A bit stinky and reductive on the nose with a meaty, barnyardy character. Soft and voluptuous in the mouth though not heavy, this is a simple and slipy rustic, though not rough wine. Short and a bit coarse on the finish. There’s not much fruit here and in fact not much to like. 75pts
