2007 L de Lyeth Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon, 13.5%

BEST VALUE: Lovely restrained black cherry and black currant fruit on the nose with earth and gentle herb undercurrents. This is snappy and focused in the mouth, a fine edge of nervous tension that keeps this fresh and crisp. The red cherry fruit is very fresh, with a touch of red plum skin and gentle suggestions of carob and dried baking spices carrying over to the aromatic finish. There’s nice length here and some finesse that carries the gently complex fruit from palate to finish. Not a powerhouse by any stretch of the imagination, but just a solid, well-balanced, complementary style of wine making. 87pts

I love the Château Edmus Saint-Émilion Grand Cru! Just tried it a few months ago and gave it two #WKBadges:

It's 85% Merlot and 15% Cab Franc and now Cab Sauv, however.
