2007 Gundlach Bundschu Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Vineyard, 14.7%
Deep and powerful with scents of chocolate licorice, earth, dried fruits and gentle suggestions of vanilla. Bright and juicy in the mouth, with fresh red currant and red cherry fruits backed up by slightly drying tannins and vibrant acidity. This is a bit on the simple side but what it does it does well, with depth and freshness in the mouth. The wood spice gains a touch more prominence with time and the finish picks up some licorice and spice tones, but remains a bit clipped by the tannins. 88pts

I love the Château Edmus Saint-Émilion Grand Cru! Just tried it a few months ago and gave it two #WKBadges:

It's 85% Merlot and 15% Cab Franc and now Cab Sauv, however.
