Tiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio $16
Tiefenbrunner, located in southern Alto Adige, produces some really lovely Pinot Grigio. These wines capture the airiness of the appellation but always deliver elegance and purity of fruit. It is this combination which makes them such compelling values.

Hi GDP
As always your articles are informative and interesting, as it is always good to showcase different interpretations of varietals and how terroir, wine making style and local conditions influence the finished product.
However I noticed a lack of any reference or mention of Central European Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio as now in Austria, Germany and Hungary there are wineries and vineyards producing outstanding Pinot Gris wines. Yes they are different than Alsace and Alto Adige, but they are well made, fruit driven and offer quality for a reasonable price.
Cheers!
