One thing I learned while traveling through New Zealand is that the industry is much more than just Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Tasting the Dry River Riesling for the first time left me with feelings quite similar those felt from the Churton Pinot Noir. Damn, this wine is delicious! Brilliant balance, fine depth of flavor and stony minerality left me wanting more. And while I am not the biggest fan of Gewürztraminer, Dry River’s was also stony and sophisticated, with elegant and exotic kumquat notes. This aromatic white specialist is a definite stop on my next visit!
